Dorothy Clary

Tryon, NC - - Dorothy Vaughan Clary, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2021 at White Oak Manor in Tryon.

Born in Elberton, GA, she was the widow of the late John Raymond Clary and the daughter of the late Claude L. Vaughn and Susie Owens Vaughn. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, a devout conservative and enjoyed politics. Mrs. Clary was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church of American in Landrum.

Surviving are two nephews, Grady Vaughn of St. Louis, MO and Larry Vaughn of Wendell, NC; several other nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clary was preceded in death by two brothers; and a sister.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
