Michael Welchel

Spartanburg, SC - - William Michael Welchel, 76, of 3590 Southport Road, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Sandra Gay Welchel and son of the late Troy Welchel and Isabell Jones Long.  He was the owner of Carolina Satellite and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Bright (Glenn) of Spartanburg; a grandson, Glenn Bright, Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Elijah Bright and Ethan Bright.

No services are scheduled.
