Tim Wood

Gaffney, SC - - William Timothy Wood, 72, of Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, February 24, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, S.C., he was the husband of Vicki Ruppe Wood and the son of the late L. Marion and Lounette Wood. Mr. Wood was a graduate of Gaffney Senior High School, attended Gardner Webb University and a graduate of Rutledge College. Mr. Wood was self- employed in accounting and owner of Copies Now in Gaffney, SC. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Kristi Wood Harvey (Russ), his son, Blake Wood (Lindsey), grandchildren, Emily Harvey (Will Horlacher), Luke Harvey, Tyson Wood, Drew Wood, Ella Bishop and Coleman Bishop. Mr. Wood is survived by his brother, Steve Wood (Gay) and his sister Dianne Holland.  Mr. Wood is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, father, mother-in-law, Undean Ruppe, father-in-law Solon Ruppe, and brother-in-law, Jim Holland.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:30PM on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 2:30 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryon McIntyre officiating. Private burial with immediate and extended family will be at the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Family Hospice, his caregiver, Tasha, and nurse, Summer, Spartanburg Regional 5th floor nurses, and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their care and support throughout Tim's illness.
