William "Bill" Herzig

Pacolet, SC - - William "Bill" John Herzig, 95, of 1381 Asbury Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the husband of the late Ella Mae Blanton Herzig whom he cherished and son of the late William Herzig and Marion Dawson Herzig.  He retired from Crown Cork & Seal, was a U. S. Navy veteran, and of the Protestant faith.  He loved traveling especially to see his family.

He is survived by a son, Michael Frazier of Spartanburg; two daughters, Gloria Turner (Johnny) and Donna Frazier, both of Pacolet; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved.  He was preceded in death by a son, Luther Dale Frazier and one brother.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00PM on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services, with military honors, will immediately follow at 4:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Sellars officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

The family will be at their respective homes.
