William "Doc" Parker

Gaffney, SC - - William C. "Doc" Parker, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Martha Blanton Parker and son of the late Arthur Frank Parker and Maude Peeler Parker.  He was a self-employed carpenter, loved his family, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Tim Parker (Nikki) of Gaffney; a daughter, Sherry Patterson (Jeffery) of Gaffney; a brother, Perrin Parker of Gaffney; four sisters, Margaret Owens, Helen Coyle, Peggy Howell (Norman), all of Gaffney, and Edna Yomans of Matthews, NC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Arthur Frank Parker, Jr., his brother, Marvin Parker, and a sister, Lucille Williams.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Graveside services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Harold Johnson officiating.
