Walter Kenneth Blackwell, Jr.

Greenville, SC - - Walter Kenneth Blackwell, Jr., 67, of Greenville, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Walter Kenneth Blackwell, Sr. and Frances Biddix Blackwell.  He retired from Medical Solutions, LLC and was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Kristen Phillips (Tellas) of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Jamey Blackwell (Amanda) of Columbia; a sister, Lynn Raber (Brian) of Greenville; three grandchildren, Breanna Newbauer (Trevor), Taylor Shaffer and Tre Phillips; a great-granddaughter, Camille Newbauer as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Blackwell.

The family will hold a private celebration of life on the coast of South Carolina at a later date.
