Thomas “Tommy” Carmen

Gaffney, SC - - Thomas “Tommy” Edward Carmen, 63, of 2814 Chesnee Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Stroudsburg, PA, he was the husband of Kelly Ryder Carmen and son of the late Shirley George Dorshimer. He was employed by Penske Truck and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. He loved his family, fishing, the outdoors and working on old cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brandon Carmen and Thomas Carmen, both of Cowpens; a daughter, Kayla Carmen of Cowpens; two brothers, John Dorshimer (Terri) of Gaffney and Ted Carmen (Irene) of Lexington, NC; a sister, Tammy Felmet (Rusty) of Spartanburg.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 3:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Suttles and Reverend Grady Gregory officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
