Thomas Goode

Cowpens, SC - - Thomas Patrick Goode (Pa), 63, of Cowpens, SC, went to be with his sweet Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with lung cancer.

He was born January 11, 1962 in Shelby, NC to the late Thomas Ray Goode & Linda Williams.  He is preceded in death by his son Ray-Ray Goode and father Ray Goode.

Patrick attended Love Springs Baptist Church where he found his home.  He worked as a long-time maintenance man for Corner Stone Building Brands of Gaffney.   He leaves behind a lot of special friends there.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jean Childers Goode; his children, Cora Casey Ellis (Bryan) of Grover, NC and Thomas Jason Goode of Spartanburg; step-children, Mark Wyatt (Kelly) of Gaffney, Melissa Pennington (Billy) of Cowpens; three brothers, Devin Goode, Garrett Bowling and Eric Bowling; a sister, Melissa Spencer.  He also leaves behind his most cherished gifts his grandchildren, Chase, Jaden, Bryanna & Alex Ellis, Carson, Makayla, Aalyiah and Caleb Goode, Jacob Hughey, Ashlyn Teague, Mya & Davis Pennington, Colton and Kaidyn Wyatt; one precious great-granddaughter, Cora Ellis.

Pa is forever fishing on the shores of Heaven with his Master waiting for all his loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, February 14,2025 at Love Springs Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating.  Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
