Susan Sarratt

Gaffney, SC - - Susan Wright Sarratt, 70, of 360 Grassy Pond Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Darryl Marcus Sarratt and daughter of the late Eugene Wright and Sue Clary Wright. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Limestone College, retired as librarian at the Cherokee County Library and the Bookmobile, formerly served as the Children’s librarian for the Cherokee County Library, and was a member of West End Baptist Church. She loved her family, was an avid reader, enjoyed playing games on her phone, and enjoyed social media.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Mark E. Wright (Cristina Taneo) of Cowpens; her brother-in-law, Raymond Sarratt (Nancy) of Gaffney; her sister-in-law, Kay Cobb of Gaffney; her niece, SueAlex Wright of Cowpens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Wayne Brown and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
