Shirley Ellis

Gaffney, SC - - Shirley Maynor Ellis, 86, of 2304 Union Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Lewis Dean Ellis and daughter of the late Henry Arthur Maynor and Ruby Spencer Maynor.  She retired from Hoechst Celanese and was of the Baptist faith.  She loved her family, especially her grandson and great-grandson, flowers and gardening.

Surviving is a daughter, Krystal Harkenrider (Tommy) of Gaffney; three brothers, Larry Maynor (Betty), Ben Maynor and Ricky Maynor, all of Gaffney; a sister, Jean Lovingood of Gaffney; a grandson, Travis Hyatt (Holly); a great-grandchild, Thorn Hyatt; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Dean Maynor and a sister, Joyce Maynor.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.  Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes.
