Sharon Emery

Spartanburg, SC - - Sharon Lee Schermerhorn Emery, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Major Arthur Edward Schermerhorn and Dorothy Donley Schermerhorn. She enjoyed painting, singing, classical and opera music and loved helping others. Ms. Emery was a retired RN and attended New Harvest Church of God.

Surviving is a daughter, April Ann Thoms (Brian) of Cowpens; two brothers, Danny Schermerhorn of Ohio and Keflon Schermerhorn (Pam) of FL; a sister, Ruth Masters of Fl; three grandchildren, Christopher English, Joshua English (Stacey) and Brandon Lee Edwards; a step-grandchild, Brandon Thoms (Courtney); a great-grandchild, Alisa English; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Emery was a preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jaye English.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
