Scott Davis

Gaffney, SC - - Scott Allen Davis, 59, of 220 Cherokee Ridge Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Durham, NC, he was the husband of Diane Stockwell Davis and son of the late Allen Walter Davis and Virginia Worley Davis. He retired from Peachtree Centre and Magnolia Manor, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He loved his family, especially his grandbabies, loved to pan for gold, was an avid gun collector and Washington Redskins fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Anderson “Andy” Davis (Bobbi Jo) of Spartanburg; two daughters, Michelle Davis of Cowpens and Elizabeth Davis of Gaffney; a brother, Jimmy Davis (Summer) of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Davis Matthews, Madison Dawson, Michael Ray Davis, Colvin Davis and Scott Davis; honorary grandchildren, Kristina Phillips (Tyler), Lillian McLellan, Cayden McLellan and Alexander Owens; an honorary great-grandchild, R. J. Phillips; a nephew, Clint Davis (Elizabeth); a niece, Vada Davis; an aunt, Eleanor Beilharz and many cousins. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Allen Michael Davis.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.

The family will be at home of Martha Stockwell through the weekend, 101 Walnut Street, Gaffney, South Carolina 29340.
