Sandra Murray

Gaffney, SC - - Sandra Matson Murray, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at RoseCrest Community Residential Care in Inman.

Born in Oregon City, OR, she was the widow of the late William "Bill" Murray and daughter of the late Elmer E. Matson and Lillian Doss Matson.  She was a homemaker, formerly employed in textiles, and of the Methodist faith.  She loved her family, traveling and camping and word search puzzles.

She is survived by a son, Erik Murray (Andrea) of Macon, GA; a brother, Monte Matson of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Delani Jones, Aubrey Jones and Autumn Murray; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Murray, two sisters, Millie Matson and Syme Matson and two brothers, Phil Matson and Albert Matson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
