Rose Marie Gilleand

Gaffney, SC - - Rose Marie Gilleand, 66, of 200 State Line Road, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at her residence.

Born in Mishawaka, IN, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Evans and Norma Boocher. She retired from Milliken, loved her family and spending time with them, traveling, flowers and gardening. She lived a vibrant life and was full of energy.

She is survived by a son, Laif Rappley of Cowpens; a daughter, Sierra Childers (Ashton) of Gaffney; four brothers, Rod Gilleand, Randy Gilleand, Gene Gilleand and Billy Evans, all of Indiana; three sisters, Tina Alcantar, Wendy Evans, both of Indiana, and Cheryl Morgan of Arizona; four grandchildren, Braydon Newland, River Childers, Ember Childers and Maverick Childers; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrek Rappley.

An informal reception will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in the Fellowship Hall of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.

The family will be at their respective homes.
