Rodney Ruppe

Rutherfordton, NC - - Rodney Evens Ruppe, 64, of 185 Monfredo Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Russell Ruppe and Linda Gordon Ruppe. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, where he formerly played football, enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. He also enjoyed music, formerly played in a band and was an avid Braves fan and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Mr. Ruppe was retired from Freightliner and a member of Kirby Church.

Surviving is a son, Brett Ruppe of Gaffney; three daughters, Leanne Scoggins (Steve) of Gaffney, Kelli Ruppe of Gaffney and Nevaeh Harris of Rutherfordton; two step-daughters, Andrea Dyal of Greenville and Casey Labra (Eddie) of Spartanburg; a brother, Gill Ruppe of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Cody Scoggins, Alexia Smith, Sarah Wright and Kaedyn Dyal; three great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Asher and Cory; two nephews; and one niece. Mr. Ruppe was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Lawson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Will Vergara officiating.  Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes.
