Scott Owens

Gaffney, SC - - Robert Scott Owens, 61, of 590 Ross Hill Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Tammy Smiley Owens and son of the late Bobby Gene Owens and Patricia Bloomer O'Steen.  He retired from textiles and was a member of High Point Baptist Church.  He loved his family, fishing and camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Devon Poole and Chad Poole, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Jessica Owens of York; three sisters, Shelley LeCroy (Robert), Angela Cole (Wylie) and Roxanne Valeka (Dane), all of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Adrian Peeler (Hannah), Ashtin Burr and Addilyn Burr; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Graveside services will immediately follow at 3:30PM in Oakland Cemetery with Reverend Mike Proctor officiating.

The family will be at the residence, 590 Ross Hill Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
