Richard Morse Sr.

Gaffney, SC - -Richard Albert Morse Sr., 79, of 2776 Chesnee Highway, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in White Plains, NY, he was the son of the late Walter Morse and Dorothy Hall Morse. He was a master woodworker, enjoyed bonfires, enjoyed outdoors, was an avid hiker and loved his family and friends. Mr. Morse was an Air Force Veteran, a retired electrician and of the Protestant faith.

Surviving is a son, Richard A. Morse Jr. (Jenny) of Fort Myers, FL; a daughter, Tina Sabin of Seattle Washington; a brother, James Morse of Stephens Point, WI; two grandchildren, Brandon Morse and Zac Morse (Tina); a great-grandchild, Quinn Morse; and a nephew, Allen Morse.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
