Becky Ballenger

Pacolet, SC - - Rebecca Morgan Ballenger, 79, of 311 Norwood Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pacolet Mills, she was the wife of Garold "Jerry" Eugene Ballenger and previously married to the late Harold "Dinky" Alman and also to the late Curtis Pruitt and the daughter of the late William Howard Morgan and Lottie Bledsoe Morgan. She loved flowers, lighthouses, enjoyed cooking, being outside and traveling especially to the beach. Mrs. Ballenger was a homemaker and was a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, also surviving are two daughters, Donna Alman Parris (Mark) of Pacolet and Lisa Blanchard (Jason) of Pauline; four grandchildren, Emily McDowell (Curtis), Desiri Fraley (Jonathan), Will Parris and Nicholas Blanchard; and three great-grandchildren, Callaway, Shepard and JohnMark. Mrs. Ballenger was preceded in death by four brothers, Buford, Billy, Bobby and Ernie; and a sister, Brenda.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Tate Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM at the church with Reverend Damon Duncan and Reverend Dylan Styles officiating. Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
