Randy Patterson

Gaffney, SC - - Randy Lamar Patterson, 68, of 1258 Corinth Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Cynthia “Cindy” Jennings Patterson and son of the late Kenneth Vaughn Patterson and Betty Ruth Moss Hardin, and stepson of the late Dean E. Hardin. He loved his family, enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and retired from Nestle after 38 years of service. Randy was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church, loved his Lord and being involved in church activities and going to Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a stepson, Jeffrey Gettys of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Chase Gettys and Brandon Gettys (Tori) all of Blacksburg; one great-grandson, Beckham Gettys; a sister, Janet Leagon (Roger) of Blacksburg; sisters-in-law, Deborah Teasley (Chris) and Terry Johnson (Ray, deceased); brother-in-law, Mark Jennings and the late Mike Jennings (Marianne); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at El Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the Church with Dr. Larry Melton and Reverend James “Shotgun” Sarratt officiating. Interment will be in the El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
