Phillip "Phil" Whiteside

Gaffney, SC - - Phillip "Phil" Wayne Whiteside, 73, of 1382 Pleasant School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Winnsboro, he was the husband of Ann Childers Whiteside and son of the late Paul Whiteside and Angie Reynolds Whiteside.  Phil grew up in Columbia, was a retired truck driver, and attended Temple Baptist Church.  He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, working outside, wood-working, and was very mechanical.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Amanda Belue (Trevor) and Hannah Snuggs (Camron), both of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Bryson Belue, Blake Belue and Bailey Belue.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Wayne Whiteside II.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Cooper officiating.  Interment will be private for the family.
