Phillip Edwards, Jr.

Pacolet, SC - - Phillip Pettit Edwards, Jr., 56, of 990 N. Highway 150, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Greer, he was the son of Phillip Pettit Edwards, Sr. of Pacolet and the late Mickie Beyon Bogan Edwards and stepson of Mary Edwards of Pacolet.  He was a graduate of Broome High School, the former owner/operator of a machine shop and worked at Michelin. He loved his family, antique cars and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father and stepmother, also surviving are three brothers, Greg Edwards (Karen) of Oklahoma, Shane Hill of Pacolet and John Wayne Cudd (Diane) of Gaffney; two sisters, Kristy Whiteside of Jonesville and Lisa Shaw (David) of Chester, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hill, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.  Burial will be at 12:00PM on Monday, October 7, 2024 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes.
