Peggy Jennings

Gaffney, SC – Peggy Hayes Jennings, 90, of 824 Old Metal Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the widow of the late Floyd M. Jennings, Jr. and daughter of the late Joe F. Hayes and Blonnie Woodruff Hayes.   She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, formerly worked for WSPA, a homemaker and member of New Pleasant Baptist Church.  Peggy loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Lee Jennings (Emily) of Gaffney and Mickey Joe Jennings of Spartanburg; a sister, Sandra Houk (Larry) of Chapin; three grandchildren, Holly Jennings, Seth Jennings and Rachel Jennings; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Hayes and a sister, Betty Ballenger.

Graveside Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Brandon Morris officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg County Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at their respective homes.
