Bryant Clary

Gaffney, SC - - Paul Bryant Clary, 58, of 1240 Pacolet Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Robby Sanford Clary and Judy Fowler Clary of Gaffney. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and a fast friend to everyone he met – always ready with a story, a laugh or a helping hand. He found his greatest joy outdoors, especially when he was on a boat with a line in the water, taking in the quiet peace of the lake. He enjoyed hunting and gardening, and he brought that same care and dedication to his 30+ year career as the lead supervisor at SRE. Above all, he loved his family deeply and lit up most when surrounded by his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, also surviving are two sons, Andrew Clary (Caroline) of Gaffney and Eli Clary; a daughter, Shelbie Jarvis (Kavin) of Gaffney; a sister, Deborah Sturtz (Tobey) of Belville, NC; three grandchildren, Waylon Jarvis, Cohen Clary and Sadie Clary; three nieces, Robyn Blanton (Matt), Courtney Sturtz and Jordan Sturtz; a nephew, DJ Blanton; and his best friend, Trip Patterson. Mr. Clary was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Alberta Fowler, Ellen Jackson, Paul Clary, his fiance', Susan Wolfe, his best friend, Stanley Wolfe; and a sister, Robbin Annette Clary.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mickey Mullinax officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of his parents, 1236 Pacolet Highway.
