Patsy "Pat" Smiley

Gaffney, SC - - Patsy "Pat" Lee Smiley, 80, of 356 Oak Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at her residence.

Born in Columbia, she was the wife of O.B. Smiley for 61 years and daughter of the late B. D. Lee and Lena Mathis Lee.  She was a graduate of Oak Hill Academy High School and Cecil's Business College, retired from Winter & Rhoden Law Firm, and formerly worked in banking.  Pat was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church where she was a choir member, taught the 6-year-old Sunday School for 21 years and also taught the Ladies Class.  She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and enjoyed attending auctions.  Pat loved her family, cooking, baking, hosting Sunday lunches, and going to lunch with her friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Matt Smiley of Gaffney; a daughter, Rea Smiley Doutt (Steve) of Gaffney; a grandson, Quinton Smiley; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Lee.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Grassy Pond Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Gregory and Reverend Martin Hogg officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
