Patricia Byers

Gaffney, SC - - Patricia Inez Smith Byers, 91, of 335 Hackberry Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at her residence.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of the late Clyde Edward Byers and the daughter of the late Floyd Smith and Mary Jenkins Smith. She was retired from textiles, had a great love for her family and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Lori Marinucci (Jerry), Teresa Clyde and Patty Roberts (Charles), all of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, Brad, Brent, Crystal, Bridget, Laura, Joshua, Heather, Joseph and Jerry; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Byers was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Steven Clyde.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joey Shetley officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
