Patricia "Pat" McDaniel

Gaffney, SC - - Patricia "Pat" McSwain McDaniel, 82, widow of B. Edward (Eddie) McDaniel, went to be with the Lord and reunite with all her loved ones on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby (At last, gone to be with Eddie.)

Born February 2, 1943 in Cherokee County, Mrs. McDaniel was the daughter of the late Walter Cleve McSwain and the late Lula Waddell McSwain.   Mrs. McDaniel grew up in Earl, North Carolina.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia McSwain McDaniel and Betty McSwain Davis, and a brother-in-law, Ferman McDaniel.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her and Eddie's nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her brother-in-law, Gene McDaniel of Rocky Mount, NC; and a special friend and caregiver, Carol Pettit of Gaffney.

She graduated from the Number Three High School, Earl, North Carolina and Howard's Business College, Shelby, North Carolina.  She was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church where she retired as Financial Secretary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Clyde Thomas and Reverend Bobby Morrow officiating.  Her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Frederick Memorial Gardens.
