Patricia Nicholas

Rock Hill, SC - - Patricia Jean McCarty McLaughlin Nicholas, 62, of 1646 Hardy Drive, formerly of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center.

Born in Daytona Beach, FL, she was first married to the late Robert McLaughlin, was the widow of the late Ernest W. Nicholas, and daughter of the late John Henry McCarty and Betty Jane Stocker McCarty.  She loved her family, gardening, working word puzzles and going to flea markets.

She is survived by a son, Christpher Thomas McLaughlin of Cumberland, MD; a daughter, Crystal Kay McLaughlin of the home; three brothers, John McCarty (Barbara) of VA, David Lee Frederick, Sr. (Darlene) of WV and Donald Frederick (Pat) of VA; three grandchildren, Alyssa Marie McLaughlin, Mark Raymond McLaughlin and Jayce Tyler McLaughlin.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allen McCarty.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson with Reverend Christopher Ellis officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
