Myrtle Moss

Gaffney, SC - - Myrtle Bonner Moss, 71, of 126 Emerald Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Charles Michael "Mike" Moss and daughter of the late Hilliard Bonner and Medora Gaston Bonner.  She retired from the Cherokee County School District after teaching for 32 years and was a member of Buford Street United Methodist Church.  She loved her family, traveling and cooking.

In addition to her husband, also surviving is a son, Michael Christopher Moss (Yvonne) of Blacksburg; a daughter, Melissa Moss Bishop (Nicholas) of Blacksburg; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Bonner of Gaffney; ten grandchildren, Christopher Aaron Moss, Melody Taylor Moss, Brooke Michelle Smith (Eli), Allison LeeAnn Haney, Jamie Nicole Wright, Emmalee Rose Whiteside, Greyson Parker Bishop, Mizella Reighn Bishop, Charles Patrick Bishop and Brayden Lee Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Saylor, Sawyer and Sable; a special friend and niece, Suzanne Bonner of Gaffney; also two nieces, Kimberly Allen (Daniel) of Gaffney and Jennifer Carlson (Jay) of Charleston and a nephew, Josh Moss of Franklin, NC.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Hayden Bishop and a brother, David Bonner.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Clingman Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dave Nichols officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

The family will be at their respective homes.
