Minister Celinda Lindsay

Gaffney, SC - - Minister Evelyn Celinda Lindsay, 50, of 100 White Oak Drive, Apt. 30, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lindsay and Celina Harris Lindsay. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, a homemaker, an ordained minister, and of the Baptist faith. She loved her Lord, her family, and children.

She is survived by a daughter, Virtuous Lindsay of the home; Angelica Lindsay who was reared in the home and loved as a daughter of Gaffney; Jarius Lindsay who was reared in the home and loved as a son of Gaffney; three brothers, Marshall Lindsay (Judy), Joseph Linsday (Elizabeth), both of Gaffney, and Ernest Lindsay, II (Tanja) of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Florence Morgan of Spartanburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 3:30PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will be at the home of Angelica Lindsay, 503 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, Gaffney, SC 29341.
