Mary Jo Arrowood

Gaffney, SC - - Mary Jo Haulbrooks Arrowood, 91, formerly of Fairfield Apartments, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Blue Ridge in Brookview House.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Carlie Arrowood, Jr. and daughter of the late Maxie W. Haulbrooks and Alvenia Lemmons Haulbrooks.  She was a retired cook, loved her family, and was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.

Surviving is a son, Jerry Arrowood of Gaffney; a daughter, Judy Vinesett (Harold) of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Chad Vinesett, Summer McDaniel (Shane), Travis Boland and Ashley Martin (Terry); eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Arrowood and Maxie Arrowood, a daughter, Lola Ruppe, four sisters, Bird Haulbrooks, Georgia Butler, Lois Haulbrooks and Floree Hall, and three brothers, Dicky, Buck and Junior Haulbrooks.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 3, 2026 in Oakland Cemetery with Reverend Danny Phillips officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
