Jim Harrelson Jr.

Gaffney, SC - - Marshall James "Jim" Harrelson, Jr., 77, of 413 E. Montgomery Street, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Lincolnton, NC, he was the husband of Rachel Kitchens Harrelson and the son of the late Marshall James Harrelson Sr. and Jeanette Sisler Harrelson. He enjoyed fishing, computers and had a great love for his family. Mr. Harrelson was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam, was retired from textiles and of the Lutheran Faith.

In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Tommy Harrelson of Shelby; two daughters, Patricia Pryor of Shelby and Crystal Wright (Larry) of Gaffney; two brother, Rodger Harrelson and Steve Harrelson (Cindy), both of Gastonia; a sister, Beth Rexrode; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Harrelson was preceded in death by three brothers, Don Harrelson, Ronnie Harrelson and Billy Harrelson; and a sister, Patricia Harrelson.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Douglas Ball officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
