Mark Hill Sr.

Gaffney, SC - - Mark Douglas Hill Sr., 59, of 602 Grassy Pond Road, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Linda "Missy" Lanier Hill for 40 years and the son of the late Dennis Hill Jr. and Mary Jane Williams Hill. He enjoyed flying drones, remote control airplanes, and fishing. Mr. Hill was a retired certified transmission mechanic and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Mark Douglas Hill Jr. (Kaci) and Christopher Bradley Hill, both of Gaffney; two brothers, Dennis Hill III (Bonnie) of Myrtle Beach and Matthew Hill (Casey) of Spartanburg; a grandson, Mark Douglas Hill III; two honorary grandchildren, Elijah Jones and Caliana Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joel Gardner and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
