Margaret Parnell

Gaffney, SC - - Margaret Bryant Parnell, 77, formerly of 1472 N. Limestone Street, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Osborne Bryant and Nettie Easler Bryant.  She retired from textiles, was formerly employed by Wal-Mart and of the Baptist faith.  She loved her family, her dachshund fur-babies, and the outdoors.

Surviving are two sisters, Vivian Suttles of Spartanburg and Maxine Sams of Boiling Springs, NC; three grandchildren, Ashelyn Clifton (David), Dylan Parnell (Shelby) and Ryan Yount; three great-grandchildren, Jenson, Eleanor and Derek; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Parnell, three brothers, Earl Bryant, Dean Bryant and Billy Bryant and four sisters, Rebecca Pruitt, Frances Waldrop, Pat Greene and Carolyn Bridges.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg County Humane Society, 150 Dexter Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
