Gail Kennedy

Greer, SC - - Margaret Gail Mason Kennedy, 79, of Greer, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. Francis Eastside.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Christopher S. Kennedy for 59 years and daughter of the late William "Bill" Lester Mason, Jr. and Margaret Robbins Mason Lecky.  She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Cecil's Business College, retired from First Federal (BB&T) after over 35 years of service, and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.  She loved her family and friends, the beach and shopping.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a sister, Sharon Spencer of Spartanburg; a nephew loved as a son, Michael Spencer (Aimee) of Winter Park, FL; a great-niece, Ava Grace Spencer; a step-mother-in-law, Joan Kennedy of Georgia.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Garrett Spencer.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Oakland Cemetery with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 910 Hudson Road, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family will be at their respective homes.
