Margaret Kinard

Spartanburg, SC - - Margaret Ann Morris Kinard, 93, of 160 Garden Creek Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of James Edward Kinard and daughter of the late Grady Morris and Thelma Eaker Morris. She was a graduate of Cowpens High School, a graduate of Cecil’s Business College, retired from Milliken, and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and family and was a wonderful “Nanny” to all.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Davis of Gaffney and Vickie Pierce of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Jason Davis, Chris Nance, Ronnie Nance (Melanie) and Donnie Nance; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Davis (Sheena) and Ben Davis (Courtney); four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayle Wallace, two grandsons, Mark Davis and Chucky Nance, and two brothers, Harold Morris and Conrad Morris.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers Sheila Watkins and Tammy Hendricks.

The family will receive friends from 11:30AM until 12:30 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:30PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steven Griffith and Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
