Margaret Galloway

Gaffney, SC - -Margaret Holliday Galloway, 96, formerly of 259 Goldmine Springs Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Brookview Healthcare Center.

Born in Six Mile, SC, she was the wife of the late Reverend Alger Preston Galloway Sr. and the daughter of the late Leonhardt Holliday and Ollie Kelly Holliday Smith and the step-daughter, Clarence Smith. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was an avid pray warrior, loved her family and her Lord and was first licensed in the church of God at 28 years old. Mrs. Galloway was owner/operator of a Daycare, homemaker, Pastor's wife and a member of Blacksburg Church of God.

Surviving is a son, Reverend Allen G. Galloway (Marilyn) of Gaffney; a daughter, Marie Bright (Lee) of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Gwendolen Fowler (Trent), Jimmy Bright and Joshua Bright; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Watson, Sarah Watson, Rebekah Watson and Simeon Watson; two step-grandchildren, Josh Whitlock and Brandon Allen; five step-great-grandchildren, Carsyn Whitlock, Anna Grace Whitlock, Kylie Whitlock, Savannah Allen and Montana Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Galloway was preceded in death by a son, Alger Preston Galloway Jr; a brother, Harold Holliday; three sisters, Helen Barnes, Lila McCall and Jean Mauldin.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Blacksburg Church of God. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM at the church with Reverend Kevin Hand, Reverend Richard Sellars and Reverend Allen Galloway officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Lee and Marie, 257 Goldmine Springs Road.
