Lois Thrift

Cowpens, SC - - Lois Jean Thrift, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of the late Charles Defoy Thrift and was the daughter of the late Coy Marion Ruppe and Fair Gardner Ruppe. Mrs. Thrift was retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Surviving is a brother, Jack Ruppe (Norma) of Cowpens; two granddaughters, April Bryant (Kevin) of Boiling Springs and Laura Poole (Nick) of Cowpens; three great-grandchildren, Kellen Bryant, Kayden Bryant and Marley Kay Poole; several nieces and one nephew; numerous great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thrift was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles Allen Thrift and Randy Dean Thrift; two sisters, Phyllis Kirby and Cornelia Wright; and two great-grandsons, Camden Bryant and Lucas Poole.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Craig and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1905.

The family will be at their respective homes.
