Leonard Mullinax

Gaffney, SC - - Leonard Earl Mullinax, 76, of 713 Marietta Street, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Georgia McCullough Mullinax and son of the late Lokie Mullinax and Louise Lanier Mullinax.  He retired from construction and was of the Baptist faith.  He loved his family and was an avid Atlanta Braves, Washington Commanders and NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Leonard Wayne Mullinax (Sissi) and Mike Mullinax, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Samantha Crosby (Curtis) of Gaffney; a stepdaughter, Janice "Koot" McBee of Gaffney; a special sister-in-law and caregiver, Joyce McCullough of Gaffney; a special step-granddaughter, Krystal McBee; a special step-great-granddaughter, Kalista Taylor; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Holland and ten brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Sellars officiating.  Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle "Building Fund", 621 4th Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at the home of Charlotte McCullough, 936 9th Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.
