Leila Allison

Gaffney, SC - - Leila Lewis Allison, 96, of 548 Robbs School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at her residence.

Born in Greenwood, she was the widow of the late Thomas Lafayette Allison, Jr. and daughter of the late George L. Lewis and Mary Watkins Lewis.  She retired from textiles and was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.  She loved her family, gardening, reading and baking.

Surviving are two sons, George Thomas "Tommy" Allison (Reba) of Cowpens and Steven Craig Allison of the home; two grandchildren, Ashley Allison (Eric) and Michael Thomas Allison (Susie); five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Sharon Miller (Bill) of Gaffney and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Smith and an infant sister.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45AM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Gravesides services will immediately follow at 11:00AM in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Clyde Thomas and Reverend Bobby Morrow, III officiating.
