Obituary

Lamonda Peeler

Gaffney, SC - - Lamonda Ann Queen Peeler, 74, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026.

Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, Lamonda was the daughter of the late Drayton Lizzie Queen and the late Mary Frances McCraw. She is survived by her stepmother, Beverley Queen.

Lamonda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Clyde “Peanut” Peeler; her daughter, Summer Greene Davis (John); her stepdaughter, Beth Peeler; and her stepson, Brooks Peeler (Melissa).

She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Queen Humphries (Ronnie), and her stepsisters, Liz Queen Smith (Scott) and Carye Queen Sarratt (Danny Ray), as well as her beloved nephew, John Rose (Rhonda), whom she loved dearly and a great niece she was so proud of, Olivia Rose.

Lamonda was a proud grandmother to Taylor Rogers (Shane), Ashlyn Lowe (Max), Landon Robbs, Rush Peeler, Mary Alice Thomas, Riley Smith, Aubrey Smith, and Weston Smith. She was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of two great-grandchildren, Bowen Rogers and Mallory Lowe, who will forever carry her love and legacy with them.

Lamonda was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Hamricks and Staffing Associates, and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She found joy in the simple and special moments of life. She treasured her Golden Girls friend group, her Sunshine Sunday School class, trips to the beach, and shopping with her girls. She loved deeply and made lasting memories with the people who meant the most to her.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. It gave her strength through difficult times and carried her through many challenges. Lamonda was a fighter in every sense of the word, facing life with courage, determination, and an unwavering faith.

Above all, Lamonda loved her family. Her greatest joy was the people she loved, and her presence brought warmth, strength, and love into their lives. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on in her family and in all those fortunate enough to know her.

Lamonda’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, family, friendship, and strength. She will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
