Judy Petty

Gaffney, SC - - Judy Bridges Petty, 76, of Gaffney, passed away peacefully at her home on March 14, 2026.

Born on May 13, 1949, Judy was the daughter of the late Grace Bridges and Paul Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Petty.

Judy was known for her deep love and devotion to her family, friends, and the love for her dog pappy. She was a proud fan of the Clemson Tigers. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, collecting red birds, shopping, and sitting outside in her rocking chair talking on the phone with family and friends. Judy's warm spirit and love for simple joys created lasting memories for everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Dennis Petty (wife Brenda), two daughters, Angie Petty and Donna Foxx; three grandchildren, Brittany Oviedo (husband Omar Oviedo) Hunter Sutton (wife Rain Sutton) and Brady Foxx; and five great-grandchildren, Adrean Oviedo, Felix Oviedo, Holden Sutton, Korbyn Foxx, and Huntlee Sutton. Also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eddie Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rock Solid Community Church "Building Fund", in Judy's memory.

Judy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
