Judy Carter

Gaffney, SC - - Judy Ann Carter, 78, formerly of 141 Spring Lake Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Carter McDaniel and stepdaughter of the late Henry McDaniel.  She retired from custodial work and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  She loved her family, animals, especially her cat "Fluffy", word search puzzles and walking.  Judy was a very considerate person and sent birthday greetings to many family and friends every year.  She was a friend to many.

Surviving is a brother, James Henry Barker of Gaffney; three nieces, April Barker Barnhill, Amanda Carter, both of Gaffney, and Angie Etters (Dean) of Chester; three nephews, Jeff Newman (Meg) of Duncan, Josh Carter and Jake Carter (Haley), both of Gaffney; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Carter and a sister, Kaye Douglas.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church.  Graveside services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Vernon Craig officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
