Juanita Parris

Gaffney, SC - - Juanita Grant Parris, 82, of 122 Iron Ore Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026, at her residence.

Born in Shelby, NC, she was the wife of the late Vernon Wayne Parris and the daughter of the late Carl Grant Sr. and Lucille Horn Grant. She was retired from Hoechst Fibers and formerly worked at Gaffney High School. She enjoyed camping, baking, knitting and loved her family. Mrs. Parris was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church, where she was very active and a choir member.

Surviving are two sons, Chris Parris (Darla) and Shane Parris (Heather), both of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Jonathan Parris (Niki), Kristin Pulido (Jorge), Jackson Parris and Dawson Parris; four great-grandchildren, Hayden, Wyatt, Bruno and Jorge; a sister, Louise Westmoreland of Gaffney; a sister-in-law, Betty Grant; two brothers-in-law, Ben Parris and Clyde Turney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Parris was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl “Whitey” Grant and Sam Grant; two sisters, Alice Turney and Barbara Henry.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Josh Davison and Dr. Bob Finley officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
