Joann Ramsey

Gaffney, SC - - Heidi Joann Putnam Ramsey, 86, of 429 Brickhouse Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Bobby Gene Ramsey and daughter of the late William Parnell Putnam and Lois Best Putnam.  She retired from Wise Snack Foods and was a very active member of Beech Street Presbyterian Church where she served as food coordinator and on various other committees.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dennis Ramsey of Gaffney and Scott Ramsey (Tressa) of Spartanburg; a brother, Frankie Putnam (Cheryl) of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Candace Waters (Jason), Carleigh Etters (Caleb), Thomas Ramsey, Mary Catherine Ramsey and Lily Grace Ramsey; two great-grandchildren, Phifer Waters and Maverick Waters; special nieces, Cathy Kirkland (Mike) of Spartanburg and Connie Bolton (Reggie) of Blacksburg; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Putnam, Dean Putnam, Tom Putnam and Buck Putnam and three sisters, Pat Smith, Corrine Collins and Sue Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry McKee and Mr. Carlton Blanton officiating.
