Jamie Gunnoe
Blacksburg, SC - - Jamie Gunnoe, 61, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at her residence.
Born in Charleston, West Virginia, Jamie was the beloved daughter of the late Flemming Gunnoe and Susan Kay Taylor Stanley, and the cherished step-daughter of the late Terry Stanley. She was employed by Tru by Hilton and was a member of the Catholic faith.
Jamie's greatest joy was her family, whom she loved deeply and fiercely. She was a passionate advocate for animals and formerly operated an animal rescue, dedicating countless hours to saving and caring for those in need. She found peace and happiness at the beach, especially along the Jersey Shore and at Oak Island, North Carolina.
Gifted with a green thumb, Jamie could grow just about anything, though cacti were her favorite—perhaps because, as those who knew her well would say, they shared a bit of the same prickly spirit. She loved attending concerts and collecting concert T-shirts, finding joy in the music and memories they represented.
Strong, determined, and resilient, Jamie worked hard for everything she achieved. She instilled that same perseverance and work ethic in her children, leading by example every day. She loved wholeheartedly and with unwavering devotion. Her strength, compassion, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Gunnoe Carder (Todd) of Boiling Springs, SC and Hailey Gunnoe Fragakis of Gaffney; and one son, Selwyn Gunnoe; two grandchildren, Aaron Carder and Ellie Dao. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by two brothers, Robbie Gunnoe and Roger Gunnoe.
