Jack “Maxie” Crenshaw, Jr.

Gaffney, SC - - Jack McAbee Crenshaw, Jr., 76, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Born and raised in Anderson, he was the son of the late Jack McAbee Crenshaw, Sr. and Ruth Davenport Crenshaw. He was a retired special education teacher and principal, and of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, golf, horses, founded the Rodeo Club in the Cherokee County School District, and was an avid Clemson Tiger fan.

He is survived by a son, Thad Crenshaw of Senegal, Africa; a daughter, Lindsay West (Chad) of Gaffney; a grandchild, Kennedy West; a niece, Heather Martin (Bill) of Anderson; a nephew, Wes Crenshaw of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Crenshaw.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
