George Stanley McGinnis

Stokesdale, NC - - George was born in Cherokee County on February 20, 1945, to the late Theodore T. and Mary Ellison McGinnis. He was a selfless, loving husband, father, "Papa George", brother and friend. He often spent his days tinkering around on a variety of projects. He loved his family and loved the Lord. His memory will be cherished by many, especially by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends that he leaves behind.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00PM at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, 27103.

The family will be at their respective homes.
