Fred McBride

Gaffney, SC - - Fred Hepler McBride, 93, of 1103 E. Frederick Street, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Zanesville, OH, he was the husband of the late Shirley Teeters McBride and son of the late Roland E. McBride and Mary Leora Hepler McBride.  He retired from General Motors, loved his family, motorcycles, dune buggies, the mountains and waterfalls.

Surviving are three sons, Fred L. McBride, Eric F. McBride and Brett J. McBride, all of Gaffney; two daughters, Lynn Ritchie (Dale) of Chesnee and Niki Cooke of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Erica, Tara, Nettie, Cortney, Bridgette, Seth and Katy; several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Cooke, a brother, Carl McBride and a sister, Anna Fay Payton.

No services are scheduled.

The family will be at their respective homes.
