Eula Roberts

Gaffney, SC - - Eula Grey Roberts, 99, formerly of Jonesville, VA, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus on May 10, 2024 at her home in Gaffney, SC.  She is now peacefully resting and waiting for the resurrection.

Eula was born in Flatwoods, VA on March 30, 1925 to Harvey Holton and Rhonda Catherine Wolfe.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Floyd Edgar Roberts and her precious grandson, Starret Jason Roberts.  Also preceded in death were five siblings, Velma Stover, Beryl Edens, Faye Wolfe, Walter Wolfe and Jewell Blevins.

Eula is survived by her six children, Edwin Starret Roberts (Phyllis) of Woodlawn, NC, Priscilla Sue Burgin (Bobby) of Campobello, SC, Floyd Ronald Roberts (Patti) of Greeneville, TN, Janice Kay Moore (Mike) of Chestertown, MD, Kathy Lynn Breedlove (Ricky) of Gaffney, SC and Melanie Baker of Gaffney, SC.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Faye Baker of Gaffney.  She also leaves behind her beloved matrix cat, Charlie.

Eula was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved her Lord, read her Bible and prayed daily.  She enjoyed many hours working in her garden and flowers.  She was a faithful member of The Gaffney Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and her compassionate hospice nurse, Mindy Burgin.

Upon Eula's request graveside services were held on May 14, 2024 at 2:30 PM in the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA prior to the graveside services.  Robinette Funeral Home is in charges of arrangements.

The family will be at their respective homes.
