Mike Jackson

Gaffney, SC - - Earnest Michael "Mike" Jackson, 69, of 164 Sardis Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Noah Jackson and Ruby Fowler Jackson.  He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from construction, and of the Baptist faith.  He loved his family, fishing, and was a former boxer and arm wrestler.

Surviving is a son, Josh Jackson (Shannon) of Gaffney; a daughter, Jessica Mosley (Brian) of Blacksburg; a stepdaughter, Lisa Kelly (Joey) of Blacksburg; four brothers, Benny Jackson of Gaffney, David Jackson (Kristal) of Gaffney, Jimmy Jackson (Donna) of Blacksburg and Gerald Hames of Gaffney; two sisters, Marjorie Peeler and Carol Ray, both of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, Wyatt Jackson, Kyndal Jackson, Alex Turner (Kaitie), Kevin Turner, Brian Mosley, Macy Turner, Leighton Mosley, Justin Kelly and Keri Kelly; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Turner; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy "BJ" Jackson, Talmadge "Jack" Jackson and Marshall Jackson, and three sisters, Mattie Thompson, Jean Jenkins and Gladys Crocker.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home.  Memorial services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Robertson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
